Lee & Callum arrived on time after advising me by a call. Installed the new freezer, very tidy workers and went through the procedure for turning the appliance on

Would give 0 stars if possible.
Completely incompetent from the outset. Battled with them to get an engineer to come out to my house as they were "not in my area almost every day of the week". Engineer came out and offered diagnosis, didn't have part so had to order it. Then only allowed to make follow up appointment once part arrived wasting almost a week. Then engineer cancelled visit on the day and not able to rearrange for weeks afterwards. In the end I used another company who came out and found initial diagnosis was wrong in the first place! Since then getting any kind of refund has been like getting blood out of a stone. Would sooner take my appliances to the tip then let these guys look at them in the future.

Andrew was very helpful. Phoned an appropriate length of time before arrival. Arrived promptly and was friendly and professional.
Showed me the damaged area of the oven element.
Replaced oven element promptly and at the same visit.

Repair to Neff washer/dryer
Emailed a call out request on Sun 22nd Jan and they were back to us straight away with the offer of a visit on Tues 24th. This was for our Neff washer/dryer that was showing fault code E01, leak sensor. Javid arrived at 14.00 and got the problem sorted within the hour, it was tricky as its an integral appliance and not a lot of space to work in. Javid was professional, tidy and very helpful, a credit to Glotech which we have dealt with for over 20 years.

I spent a lot of time attempting to appeal to Glotech before leaving this review as I am not in the habit of dragging companies through the dirt. However, it would appear that this company has a policy of charging its customers large amounts of money for unnecessary call-outs.

My elderly mother (just under 80 and terminally ill), called Glotech regarding problems with her dishwasher and oven. Without asking the age of the appliances or capturing a valid model number, Glotech dispatched a single engineer to take a look. Ten minutes later, the engineer had established the appliances were both over 20 years old, obsolete and with no available parts.

Reading the reviews here, it seems obvious that this was not a simple mistake but a convenient way to profiteer from older customers used to gentler times. Glotech presented an invoice for £175 for visit. They told me that they apply a 'call-out' charge per appliance. I pointed out that a 'call-out' charge is intended to cover travel expenses only - they responded by saying that this was 'company policy'.

Needless to say that charging customers £175 for ten minutes of unnecessary work is highly profitable. And in these times when profit is king no matter how it is earned, I guess they feel this is good business. Most people would agree that mugging old ladies of £175 is offensive - how is this different?

Glotech offered a goodwill payment of £60 as compensation but refused to acknowledge that its policy needed review.

absolutely bad service
absolutely bad service. Charged us Over £81 for a call out service to then let us know they cannot fix our wine cooler as it is too small (30cm). Why not check before you come out and charge!
I would never use them again and their customer service was not helpful either.
Please stay away

Djavid home visit
Djavid, came today. He called ahead with an eta and I immediately knew I was dealing with a well-mannered professional. He diagnosed the fault quickly and I knew that he was correct. He worked swiftly and in a concentrated way and even though I am waiting for a part right now I have been well informed on the next steps and what to expect.

One of the most dishonest companies I…
One of the most dishonest companies I have had the misfortune to have dealt with.

Originally called out to deal with a dishwasher fault on 20/05/22. The engineer announced that the part was obsolete and could not be repaired, pocketed his money and left. This didn't sound right to me (dishwasher isn't that old) so I emailed the manufacturer and this turned out to not be true. So I emailed them to point this out. They replied admitting they had originally lied and offered to do the repair, for double the cost the manufacturer had quoted. I said that I didn't trust them anymore and that I would take a refund as they had clearly not disagnosed the fault correctly in initial meeting. Obviously they have not done that, and there have been months of promises to get back to me only to be ghosting. Appalling and fraudulent. I will be making a formal complaint to Trading Standards

Informative.
Regardless of the arctic conditions, repair engineer Dean phoned ahead, parked, and commence review at 10:00. Explained each step of his review. Searched for part type and availability.
An early conclusion: a delay to locate parts from an old oven. Consultation conclusion: to replace the aging with a new modern oven. Returned to his van for a brochure and gave advice on the next procedure.
Glotech Sales are now engaged to identify and to recommend new oven.

Phoned Glotech about our dishwasher
Phoned Glotech about our dishwasher, had to labour costs upfront, then the appointment was cancelled. Made a second appointment and that was cancelled too. Third appointment made and the engineer did not show up, despite the company when I rang at 4pm saying he was still coming. Rang today, took 20 minutes to get through ( no 8 in the queue, fourth appointment made in two weeks time.....

Positive experience from start to finish
Easy to arrange a visit for our non-draining dishwasher, and easy to move the time when I had a clash. Engineer called 20 minutes before arrival as a welcome heads up. He was very efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and effective, and had the dishwasher working again in less than half an hour. Highly recommended.

Great repair technician
Gavin arrived exactly on time, with a ‘phone call to confirm his appointment beforehand. He quickly worked out that a replacement part was needed to repair our Samsung American style fridge freezer and explained the problem clearly to us. He was very knowledgeable and inspired confidence in his abilities immediately. The part was delivered to us and fitted quickly and efficiently a few days later. Gavin was friendly and skilled and we would not hesitate in using him again.

Anyone thinking of using Glotech repairs think again.
Having had a repair carried out in April 2022 and being 5 days outside of the “repairs warranty period”
Upon phoning the job report states both door springs were replaced
❌ incorrect only the broken one was replaced
❌ engineer stated he was only replacing the broken one

5 days out of warranty !

Gone are the days of customer service!

Great customer experience!
We’ve had a great experience. Gavin first diagnosed the issue with our fridge freezer and even gave us a temporary fix while parts were ordered. Jess came back to complete the work and was fabulous. She explained everything that was being done, fixed the problem and went the extra mile to make sure we were up and running. She was brilliant and would recommend the service and company to anyone!
